Firearm discharged in Norfolk County home invasion

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance following a home invasion that lead to a discharged firearm in Norfolk County.

The OPP were called to a home on Main Street in Delhi on Friday, December 18th. That is when they were told about an invasion at that residence that happened on Monday, December 14th around 12:45 a.m.

The OPP say that four or five people attempted to break into the home. The occupants were able to prevent an entry, however one of the suspects discharged a firearm before fleeing the scene. The suspects got away in a gold or silver coloured vehicle similar to a Chrysler 300, and a dark coloured vehicle. Both left the area in an unknown direction.

One of the occupants inside the residence at the time suffered minor injuries but it was caused from fleeing the home and not the discharged firearm.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is continuing is asking anyone who has any information or captured any of the individuals or vehicles involved in this occurrence on video surveillance, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
