Chrysler reports loss

Chrysler had a loss in its second quarter.

However, Chrysler says it says it would have seen a modest profit if it didn’t have to pay off its debt.

Chrysler reported a $370 million net loss because of a $551 million accounting charge for re-financing bailout debts.

Without that, Chrysler would have earned $181 million.
