Ontario reports 1,855 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths

Ontario is reporting 1,855 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 deaths.
It’s a new daily record for the province and comes as a record 58,037 tests were completed.
Ontario is reporting 1,855 cases of #COVID19 and over 58,000 tests completed. Locally, there are 517 new cases in Peel, 494 in Toronto, 189 in York Region and 130 in Halton. There are 1,451 more resolved cases.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:
Haldimand-Norfolk: 6 new cases, 43 active cases
Brant: 9 new cases, 73 active cases, 5 in hospital
Niagara: 26 new cases, 216 active cases, 7 in hospital
Hamilton: 87 new cases, 419 active cases, 1 death, 24 in hospital
The death toll is now 3,595.
There are 541 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Ontario. There are 151 people in ICU with 101 of them on ventilators.
Overall, 84.8 per cent of COVID-19 cases in Ontario have been marked as resolved, with another 1,451 cases added on Friday.
There were 122 cases reported in the province’s schools.
