Hamilton Public Health is offering catch-up vaccine clinics for students who missed shots in the spring because of school closures.

COVID-19 prompted the cancellation of grade 7 school vaccine clinics between April and June of this year.

Current grade 8 students who missed their grade 7 vaccines will be able to get their Hepatitis B, HPV and Meningococcal ACYW-135 vaccines starting next week.

Clinics will be offered at local high schools as well as certain community locations.

Each school will be assigned a specific time and date for their clinic.

These clinics are also for current grade 7 students due for their scheduled vaccines.

They will run from Nov. 16 to February 2021.

The city estimates more than 13,000 students will need to be vaccinated in this time.
