Amazon sees sales and profits soar amid COVID-19

It will likely come as no surprise, the COVID-19 pandemic is fueling Amazon’s bottom line.
The online giant saw sales and profit soar in the latest quarter.
From July to September Amazon says sales grew 37 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Profit during that time increased 197 per cent to $6.3 billion.
These earnings don’t include Amazon Prime Day, which took place earlier this month.
The company is not expecting things to slow down, as the holiday shopping season nears.
Amazon says it expects fourth-quarter sales to rise between 28 per cent and 38 per cent.
The last three months of the year are always Amazon’s biggest.
