Hamilton Police investigating shots fired on east mountain

Hamilton Police are investigating what they say is a targeted shooting on the east mountain.

Police received several calls about shots fired in the area of Fennell Ave. E and Upper Sherman Ave. around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

They say one person fired several rounds toward a townhouse in the area. Some of the shots hit the home.

There were people inside at the time but no injuries were reported.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their surveillance video for any suspicious activity.

They say they are looking for a man, who was wearing dark clothing and was carrying a dark bag or case.
