Hamilton public health has no plans to shut down gyms, following an outbreak and a rise in cases at a downtown fitness studio.

The city says there are 11 new cases tied to the gym bringing the total to 61 cases.

Of those, 44 are in staff or patrons of the fitness studio. There have been 17 cases acquired through household spread.
