Moving past E-Health
The Ontario Medical Association say it’s time to move past the E-health scandal and make electronic records a priority.
Association President Doctor Stewart Kennedy says electronic health records are an important tool for patient care and should be a priority for all three political parties this election.
E-health was at the centre of a scandal that saw almost a billion dollars spent on creating electronic health records with very little to show for it.
It culminated in 2009 with the resignation of then Health Minister David Caplan.
