Ontario restaurants and nightclubs required to stop serving alcohol by 11 p.m. tonight

The Province of Ontario’s latest measures surrounding restaurants and bars closing time goes into affect tonight.
Yesterday, Ontario announced that restaurants, bars and other food and drink businesses are prohibited from selling alcohol after 11 p.m. Consuming alcohol will also be prohibited after 12:00 a.m.
Additionally, all strip clubs in the province were ordered to close.
In a press conference yesterday, Health Minister Christine Elliott said the tighter regulations will help limit the potential for exposure in places where the risk of transmission is higher.
Today, three restaurants and bars in the City of Toronto ordered closed by Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health.
The establishments are:
• MARBL, 455 King St. W.
• King Taps, 100 King St. W.
• Casa Mezcal, 291 King St. W
Following an investigation which included contact tracing data, Toronto Public Health says that each establishment has not taken the necessary steps to protect both the public and employees from the spread of COVID-19.
