Questions about lung cancer screening
A new study finds most lung cancer scares are false alarms.
The U.S. study found that of smokers who got annual CT scans for three years, 40% had a suspicious finding and were told to have a follow-up test or biopsy.
More than 95% of them turned out to have nothing wrong.
That’s a problem in the U.S. because most American insurers don’t cover the scans.
