Brantford resident dies following single-vehicle crash

A Brantford resident died last night following a single-vehicle crash into Mohawk Lake.
Brantford Police say the vehicle had lost control on Greenwich Street around 7:15 p.m. When police arrived the vehicle was nearly fully submerged in the lake. The Brantford Fire Department were able to locate a 38 year old man, who was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was transported to hospital where he died.
A local towing company helped with removing the car from the water.
Greenwich Street between Murray Street and Mohawk Street was closed for several hours during the investigation as members from the Collision Reconstruction Unit processed the collision scene. All roadways are now open.
