Ontario reports 315 new COVID-19 cases, two new deaths

Ontario is reporting 315 new cases of COVID-19 and two new deaths.
The two deaths and 23 of the new cases are in residents of long-term care homes.
Minister of Health Christine Elliott says Toronto, Ottawa and Peel once again lead the province in new cases.
Ontario is reporting 315 cases of #COVID19 as nearly 29,000 tests were processed. Locally, 25 PHUs are reporting five or fewer cases with 12 reporting no new cases. Toronto is reporting 77 new cases with 61 in Ottawa, 54 in Peel and 37 in York. Durham is reporting 24 new cases.

Another 12 cases have been reported in Ontario schools. Six are students, four are staff members and two are unknown.
The province is reporting three fewer hospitalizations but those in ICU and on ventilators are up slightly.
A total of 28,761 tests were completed and another 154 cases have been marked as resolved.
To date, there have been 45,383 cases of COVID-19, according to provincial numbers.
Close to 89 per cent have been marked as resolved and a total of 2,822 people have died.
That leaves 2,316 active cases of COVID-19.

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 11 active cases
Brant: 1 new case, 4 active cases
Niagara: 3 new cases, 28 active cases
Hamilton: 5 new cases, 42 active cases
Halton: 10 new cases, 64 active cases
