HMV stores sold
Struggling British retailer HMV is selling its Canadian stores.
The deal will see 125 stores go to restructuring specialist Hilco’s Valco Capital Partners.
The deal is worth 2 million pounds, that’s just over $3 million for HMV.
The music retailer has been moving away from its traditional business in recent years as it loses out to online competition.
The deal includes a license to continue using the HMV name and websites in Canada.
