Man rescued from water at Van Wagners Beach has died: Hamilton Police

A man has died after being pulled from the water at Van Wagners Beach in Hamilton.
Emergency crews were called to the beach around 7 p.m. Thursday.
Reports from the scene suggest the man was with family and friends when he went into the water and did not resurface.
Police say the man was pulled out of the water about 30 metres from the shore.

The 21-year-old was taken to hospital where he died early Friday morning.
Police say they will not be releasing his identity.
