Driver flees after crash at John and Wilson: Hamilton Police

Hamilton Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after a late night crash.

Officers were called to John St. N and Wilson Ave. Thursday night, just before midnight.

Police say it appears a Mazda was rear-ended by a 2017 Lincoln, which then hit the light standard, knocking it down.

Police say the driver of the Lincoln was seen changing his shirt before taking off on foot northbound on John St. N.

He’s believed to be between 20 and 30 years old with blonde or light brown hair and a goatee.

The driver of the Mazda was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Both vehicles were badly damaged and were towed from the scene.
