Halton police have identified the body found in Milton on June 30 as a 16-year-old male from Brampton.

The body was discovered by a passerby in the area of Guelph Line and No. 10 Side Road. Police say he died from a gunshot wound.

The family has requested his name not be released.

Police are asking the public for any dashcam or home surveillance video from the area between 8 p.m Monday, June 29 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 30.
