Similar temperatures will be seen around the Golden Horseshoe including Halton, Niagara, and Toronto.
Hamilton is opening up cooling places including:
- Norman Pinky Lewis Recreation Centre
- Sackville Hill Seniors’ Recreation Centre
- Hamilton Centre Library
At these locations, access will only be provided to the designated cool place rooms.
There will also be free drinking water.
Officials say residents can stay safe by drinking water, dressing to protect yourself from the heat and avoiding strenuous activity outside.
