Cyclist rescued after falling off Dundas Peak

A cyclist is in hospital after falling off Dundas Peak in Flamborough.

Police say the 27-year-old man was cycling around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

He fell off a trail and landed 12 metres off the escarpment.

It took fire crews more than two hours to pull him back up.

He was taken to hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Firefighters say his helmet likely saved his life.
