Ontario reported 111 new cases of COVID-19 Friday morning as testing levels remain at all-time highs.

“While very welcome news, we shouldn’t draw too many conclusions from one day of data,” said Health Minister Christine Elliott in a tweet.

“Rather, we’ll continue to keep a close eye on what is hopefully the continuation of our downward trend.”

Nearly 31,000 tests were processed Thursday.

The province also announced three new deaths related to the virus, bringing the death toll to 2,644.

The numbers of people in intensive care and on a ventilator both fell again, reaching their lowest levels since the province began reporting the figures in April.
