Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger being tested for COVID-19

Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger is being tested for COVID-19 Friday.

The city says the testing is being done “out of an abundance of caution” after the mayor experienced symptoms associated with the virus.

Those symptoms first appeared Thursday morning.

Eisenberger will be self-isolating at home until he receives his results.

Anyone who has come into contact with him recently is monitoring themselves for symptoms.

The mayor’s office will share the test results when they’re available.
