Family wants inquiry as Mississauga man killed in police shooting

The family of a man who died in a police shooting in Mississauga wants a public inquiry.
Peel Police officers were called to a Mississauga apartment building around 5 p.m. Saturday for a man in crisis.
According to police, officers believed the man had access to weapons and entered the home when he stopped communicating with them.
They say there was an “interaction” where police fired a stun gun, plastic bullets and a gun.
62-year-old Ejaz Choudry was killed.
A group of protesters occupied the intersection around the apartment building, near Morningstar Dr. and Goreway Dr. on Sunday.
His family say he was suffering from a schizophrenic episode but didn’t pose a threat to anyone but himself.
They say they don’t trust the police watchdog to conduct the investigation.
