Hamilton hospital seeking scleroderma breakthrough
Hamilton is at the forefront of research into a rare autoimmune disease.
One thousand Canadians are registered as having scleroderma. However, the numbers are believed to be much higher.
And while there may be no cure, Maria Hayes says treatment is helping those live with their diagnosis.

If you’d like to offer support to those living with the disease, there are a number of fundraising walks scheduled for June 11th.
You can find times and locations on the Scleroderma Society of Ontario website.
