Police release sketch of man wanted in Fergus sexual assault

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault investigation in Fergus.

Police responded to reports of an assault on the Elora-Cataract Trailway, just east of Gartshore St. on April 24.

Sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. a woman was sexually assaulted on the trail by a man on a black bike. The suspect fled the area and was last seen travelling eastbound on the trail.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

He is described as white, roughly five-foot-ten, 150 lbs, with a round face, some facial hair on his upper lip and chin, and thin lips. The man was wearing black reading glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black beanie-style hat.
