COVID-19 outbreak at Hamilton’s Cardinal retirement residence declared over

The coronavirus outbreak at downtown Hamilton’s Cardinal retirement residence has been declared over by Public Health.

The facility had the worst outbreak in the city, with 7 residents dying and a total of 65 cases including staff.

The outbreak at Cardinal was one of the first in Hamilton, beginning more than a month ago.

With no new cases and everyone there tested, it seems the worst is over.
