Milton man arrested on child pornography charges

A 56-year-old man is facing child pornography charges following an investigation by Halton police.

Back in February, members of the Halton Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit were made aware of a Facebook user that was using local groups to attempt to make arrangements to sexually assault a child.

On Monday, officers arrested Bradley Munroe, of Milton. He has been charged with making an agreement or arrangement to sexually assault a child, possession of child pornography, and distribution of child pornography.

Police say the accused used a number of social media platforms under the names “Brad Munroe” and “BJ.”

Monroe is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
