Niagara police search for rightful owner of vintage money

Niagara police are searching for the rightful owner of some vintage Canadian currency.

Police say a collection of vintage money was seized during the arrest of a 34-year-old man in an assault investigation earlier this month.

The man was arrested in Pelham but police say he has ties throughout Niagara Region.

Investigators are asking members of the public who may be collectors of vintage Canadian currency to check the status of their collections.
