3 teens arrested in violent bank robbery in Markham

Three teenagers, who are all under the age of 17, have been arrested after a violent bank robbery in Markham.

York Regional Police officers were called to an RBC branch near 16th Ave. and Markham Rd. Wednesday night.

They say four bank employees were hurt during the armed robbery and were taken to hospital. One of the victims suffered serious injuries and the others’ injuries were all non-life threatening.

Investigators say three suspects were tracked down by the force’s K9 unit later that night.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
