Woman rushed to hospital following head-on collision in Burlington

Halton police are investigating a serious collision that sent a woman to hospital early Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to North Service Rd., just east of Waterdown Rd., around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a head-on crash involving a transport truck and a car.

First responders pulled the woman out of the car and she was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

Video from the scene shows damage on the front end of both vehicles and the driver-side airbag deployed in the car.

No charges have been laid at this time.
