Man killed in single-vehicle crash in Ancaster

Hamilton police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Ancaster.
A passerby called police around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after they spotted a vehicle in a field near Book Rd. and Smith Rd.
Officers arrived on scene and found the body of a man inside the vehicle.
The Major Crime Unit was initially called in to investigate but further investigation revealed the death was not suspicious.

The investigation has now been turned over to the Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Mountain Division Criminal Investigation Branch.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
A post mortem is scheduled to take place later Thursday.
