Teens arrested in robbery at St. Catharines bus terminal, altercation

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an altercation in St. Catharines and a robbery downtown.

Niagara police were called to a home in the area of Cumberland St. and Grandview Dr. around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say two suspects were involved in an altercation with a male inside a home when a handgun was allegedly shown.

The suspects fled before officers arrived on scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

On Tuesday, officers arrested 18-year-old Triztin Stevens and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police allege the teens were also involved in a robbery at the downtown St. Catharines bus terminal later Monday morning.

Both teens are charged with robbery, robbery with a firearm, and possession of property obtained by crime. Stevens also faces one count of assault with a weapon while the 17-year-old boy faces two additional charges of uttering threats and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
