For most sports fans, it’s a fantasy: free tickets, a flight across the continent and an all-expenses paid weekend-long trip to watch your favourite team play — but for one boy from Hamilton, it’s been a reality.

After flying to Texas on Thursday, 10-year-old KeAndre Williams got to spend the weekend in Houston where he enjoyed some authentic southern barbeque, had some time on the town with family but most importantly, he got to watch the Toronto Raptors play a live game.

The 10-year-old was selected through the Air Canada’s fan flight program for not only his passion for the team, but his selflessness and dedication to volunteering in his community.

KeAndre has been volunteering every month for almost four years, helping his church’s local community food bank in Hamilton.

KeAndre hands out stuffed animals to the kids that visit his community’s food bank and in the summer he and his family make sandwiches and grab bags that they hand out around their neighborhood to those in need.

The program, operated through the Air Canada Foundation, works with the NBA and NHL to recognize those dedicated fans who leave a lasting impact with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see their favorite teams play.

KeAndre joined The Morning Live team Tuesday to talk about the trip and show off his brand new Raptors jersey that has his own name lettered on the back.
