Police investigating possible gunfire in Stoney Creek

Hamilton police have launched an investigation into a case of possible gunfire in Stoney Creek’s core.

Officers say the incident occurred around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators closed off King Street, from Walker Avenue to Second Street South, for several hours while carrying out their investigation.

While it’s unclear what happened at this time, police say any public assistance would be greatly appreciated while they work to piece together the events surrounding this date and time.

They add that anyone with video surveillance images or dashcam footage from the area should contact investigators.
