Fog advisory continues for Hamilton and surrounding area

Environment Canada’s fog advisory remains in effect for Hamilton, Halton, Niagara, and surrounding areas.

The federal agency is warning that travel may prove to be hazardous as the thick haze blankets roadways and reduces driver visibility to “near zero.”

The advisory came into effect on Christmas Eve.

The fog is expected to dissipate into fog patches by late morning, with periods of rain or drizzle later in the evening.

Drivers are being warned to slow down, watch for tail lights, and be prepared to stop unexpectedly.
