Hamilton police investigates early morning Sunday shooting

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting that happened in the area of Radison Lane early Sunday morning.

Police say they responded to the area shortly before 6 a.m. for possible shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found one subject who has since been arrested for the possession of a prohibited weapon.

Hamilton Police have concluded the search in the area of Queenston Rd and Ayr in #HamOnt after a shooting earlier this morning.

Hamilton police issued a public advisory just before 9 a.m., asking residents in the area to stay indoor, but that has since been lifted.

Police are asking residents in the Bingham Road, Radison Lane, Ayr Avenue, Reid Avenue, and Roxanne Drive neighbourhood to check their surveillance cameras and vehicle dash camera footage for any suspicious activity between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
