NHL players are lacing up their skates and fans are getting excited, with three games tonight to kick off the regular season.

But there will be one notably less colourful change on the ice, the league says players will not be allowed to use pride tape on their sticks or wear any themed gear. Players and organizations are already voicing their disappointment.
