Spencer Gorge Conservation Area to require advanced reservation

The Spencer Gorge Conservation Area will be requiring an advanced booking of Saturday ahead of the fall season.

The area, including Dundas Peak, Tew Falls and Webster Falls will be available for reservation in two hour blocks seven days a week to accommodate the “overwhelming popularity” of hiking in the areas.

Separate advance reservations are required for each area. This means Dundas Peak and Tew Falls will be considered one purchase, while the Webster Falls hike experience will be separate.

Admission fees are set at $11 per car and $5 per passenger, plus a $10 reservation fee wi9th only one vehicle being permitted per reservation.

Those holding an HCA Membership pass will receive free admission, but will still be required to pay the reservation fee.

The Hamilton Conservation Authority says that reservations must be booked online in advance and will be upheld in rain or shine.
