Police continue search for man missing from NOTL since 2021

Police are once again asking for the public’s help as they continue the search for a man two years after he went missing from Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Investigators in Niagara say 58-year-old Darren Werner was last seen around 9 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2021 traveling in an unknown vehicle.

Werner is described as being five-foot-eleven, 180 pounds, with short gray hair and brown eyes.

Niagara police issued a plea shortly after his disappearance asking for Werner to contact his concerned family should he see it and for anyone with information to come forward.

Officers say the investigation is ongoing and is currently considered an open missing person case with suspicious circumstances.
