Man charged after 16-year-old boy was robbed in St. Catharines

Niagara police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a robbery involving a teen boy in St. Catharines on July 17.
Initial investigation determined that the victim, a 16-year-old boy, had been approached by an unknown male suspect who verbally threatened him and demanded his belongings.
The suspect fled the area on the victim’s BMX bike and his stolen iPhone and t-shirt.
No weapons were seen and the victim was not injured.
On Wednesday, investigators arrested Dario Thomas Angelo, 28, of St. Catharines and charged him with one count of robbery.
Angelo was held for a bail hearing on Thursday and remains in custody at this time.
