Search on for suspect in armed pharmacy robbery in West Lincoln: police

Niagara Regional Police Service are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a pharmacy in West Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say they received a call reporting an armed robbery at a pharmacy on St. Catharines St. near South St. around 2:44 p.m.

Officers spoke with a pharmacist who reported that a lone male suspect entered the pharmacy with a handgun demanding narcotics. The pharmacist did not sustain any physical injuries in the incident.

The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of narcotics and was seen entering the passenger side of a four-door sedan that was parked and waiting on South St.

The vehicle was last seen heading south on South St. and then west on Mill St. toward Canborough St.

The suspect is described as a Black male between the ages of 20 and 30-years-old, around five-foot-teen, with a slim to medium build. He was seen on security footage wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black knee length shorts, black running shoes and a blue surgical mask.

Home and business-owners in the area are being encouraged to review security footage for anything that may aid in the investigation.
