House fire in Brampton sends 1 to hospital in serious condition

One man has been taken to hospital in serious condition following a house fire in Brampton on Sunday.

Peel Regional Police responded to the reported blaze around 2 p.m. on Sunday in the area of Bovaird Dr. and Sunnyvale Gate.

Upon arrival emergency responders found one adult man who was transported to hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.

Brampton fire says that the fire itself has been put out and crews are working to clean up the area, however officers are continuing to tell drivers to expect a heavy police presence and avoid the area if possible.

This is the third reported residential fire in Brampton in three days.
