6-month lane closures on Burlington lift bridge pushed to next week

A major road closure on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge that was slated to begin Monday has been rescheduled for next week.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) says three of the four lanes will be closed from July 6, 2023 to Jan. 15, 2024.

One lane will remain open for alternating traffic following signalers or traffic lights during this period.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists, pedestrians and marine traffic.

PSPC asks drivers to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge.
