Police are investigating after a Stoney Creek Mountain property was set on fire and damaged early Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a structure fire at a home and business on Ridge Rd. between Fifth Rd. East and Sixth Rd. East shortly after 4:30 a.m.

Officers arrived to find a detached pool house engulfed in flames, as well as smashed windows and property damage to the home and business.

Investigators believe the incident is targeted at this time.

No injuries have been reported to police.

Const. Indy Bharaj says officers attended the scene to collect evidence.
