Hamilton police seek man after sexual assault at Birge Park

Hamilton police are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting someone in a park early Sunday morning.

Officers say a female was walking through Birge Park around 3 a.m. when an unknown man unexpectedly approached from behind and attacked her.

The Hispanic man is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black windbreaker and fishing hat with the letter “Z” on it in yellow.

Police say the man was also last seen walking westbound on Birge St. toward Emerald St. North.

Residents in the area are asked to review their video surveillance footage between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday for any suspicious activity.
