Police say motorcycle driver dead following crash in Halton Hills

A crash involving a motorcycle and car in Halton Hills on Friday killed one person and sent another to hospital.

Halton police say the collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Nassagaweya–Esquesing Townline and 25 Sideroad, south of Acton.

Paramedics attempted life-saving measures but the motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the four-door sedan was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating.

The intersection was closed for about six hours and officers have not released a cause for the accident.

ROAD CLOSURES: 25 Side Rd closed eastbound and westbound from Sixth Line to Dublin Line. Nassagaweya-Esquesing Townline closed as well.
