Police investigate residential break-in, theft of collectables in Lincoln

Niagara police are investigating a residential break-in which resulted in the theft of collector coins, cash and sports cards in Lincoln.
Police say sometime between May 10 and May 21, an unknown suspect entered a home through a basement window near Elizabeth and Mountain streets.
The suspect stole a Sentry locked safe and a decorative box. Police say both the box and safe contained collector coins, cash, and sports collector cards.
Investigators say the thief also stole alcohol, frozen seafood, and a piece of Swiss Gear carry-on luggage.

The value of the stolen items is believed to be over $40,000. Police say all stolen items were stored in their own hard plastic card protector in excellent condition.
Police say the complainant was out of the country at the time the incident took place.
Niagara police have listed a slew of collectables that have been stolen. The stolen cards and coins have significant sentimental value to the victim.
Retail and private collectors are asked to report any recent suspicious attempted sales of collectable cards, coins or cash.
