Second suspect arrested in ‘violent’ Milton carjacking

Halton police have arrested the second suspect in connection to the “violent” carjacking that took place in Milton last month.

Around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Gary Walker, 37, of Marmora was arrested outside a residence in Oshawa.

Walker has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Robbery
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (3 counts)
  • Failure to Stop After an Accident (3 counts)
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Walker was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Halton police received a report shortly before 10 a.m. of a carjacking at the Metro parking lot at 1050 Kennedy Circle on Feb. 21.

Officers say a stolen white 2014 Ford F250 struck a parked Honda CRV. The suspects smashed the driver’s side window of the CRV, opened the door and forcefully threw the female out of the vehicle and onto the ground. Both suspects got into the Honda and fled the parking lot.

The female was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
