The Ford government is scheduled to release its 2023 budget at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The finance minister says he has prepared a plan with “targeted investments” to ensure the province’s economy remains resilient in the face of uncertainty.

However, one investment excluded from the budget is a sick day program.

Ford announced Tuesday that the budget will include $224 million more to build and upgrade training centres, part of a push to boost the skilled trades as the government plans major hospital, highway and home building over the next decade.
