Man taken to hospital for serious burns after structure fire in Halton Hills

Police say a man was taken to hospital after he suffered serious burns in a residential fire in Halton Hills.

Halton police responded to a structure fire on Eighth Line on Saturday around 11:20 p.m. alongside fire crews to extinguish the flames.

Police say the man’s condition is considered to be non-life threatening.

Investigators say the occupants of a basement apartment evacuated the residence prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

The cost of damage to the residence is unknown at this time.
