1 dead, 2 in custody after Milton shooting

Halton police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Milton.
Police took two other men into custody as they try to determine the exact circumstances of the killing.
Police say gunfire broke out just after five in the morning on Gibson Crescent when two men entered the home and were met by another man.
One of the two was killed.
Neighbours could see a bullet hole in a window at the back of the house.
They described hearing four shots.
They also say a mother and her son live in the house, and say police were called there about a week ago.

Neighbour Aman Zia says “they were saying there were some people here trying to break in or some car, they were trying to steal a car.”
There were reports then of two men wearing hoodies prowling in the middle of the night.
The shooting has many people in the neighbourhood scared.
Last September, a well-known local mechanic was shot and killed in Milton during a gunman’s rampage that stretched from Mississauga to Hamilton, and left three others dead including a police officer and the suspected gunman, making another shooting harder to deal with.
Police aren’t saying at this point whether this was a break and enter or home invasion today, or whether there was actually a gunfight.
But they suggest there appears to be no threat to the wider community.
They say the shooting was targeted and contained to that one home.
