Niagara police seek driver who approached 12-year-old child

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an adult man that approached a 12-year-old girl in Pelham on Monday.
Officers say the girl was walking to school along Church St. around 8:25 a.m. when a black Dodge Caravan driven by an adult man stopped and spoke briefly to the girl.
According to police, the driver’s side sliding door had been opened by the driver and the van left the area after the girl walked away.
The girl reported the incident to school administration, and the police were called.

The driver is described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, short grey hair with possible buzz cut, tall, skinny build.
Police say while there is no allegation or evidence of a criminal offence, detectives are seeking to identify the man and determine his intentions.
